Edit › Undo (⌘Z) and Redo (⇧⌘Z) reverse copying, moving, renaming, batch renaming, new folders and files, ZIP, sync and Move to Trash, up to 30 steps back. Copies go to the Trash and moved items go back; nothing is deleted permanently.
After Ask runs a plan, its Undo button reverses everything the plan did.
An item that changed since, or whose old place is taken, is left alone and listed. While you type in a text field, ⌘Z undoes the typing.
Known issues
Undo history ends when you quit, and items removed from the Trash can't come back.

Ask sends folder paths with your home folder written as ~, so your macOS account name isn’t sent.
Opening a single file from Ask happens at once only for documents; apps, scripts and installers wait for Run.
Help › Privacy Policy opens the privacy policy. The Ask explanation and the bug report form now say exactly what is sent, what happens at once and that changes can’t be undone.
Fixes
Duplicating through Ask acts on the pane the plan names, even when it isn’t the active one.

Ask, a panel where you tell DuoNavigator what to do in plain language, and the app in seven languages.
Improvements
Ask (⌘K): a panel under the sidebar. Type a request in any language, such as “copy the selected PDFs to the other pane”. Ask shows which items, in which pane, and the steps; copying, moving, renaming and removing wait until you check the plan and press Run.
Ask answers questions about the files in the panes: how many there are, how much space they take, the largest or newest, and what differs between the two panes. The app counts on your Mac; the files themselves are never sent.
Ask runs the app’s commands, from sorting and Quick Look to compressing, Batch Rename and Sync Folders, and asks a short question when a request is unclear.
The app is now in English, Hebrew, Arabic, German, Spanish, French and Russian, following the language set in macOS. In Hebrew and Arabic the window is mirrored.
Help › Report a Bug and Request a Feature can include up to three images.
Fixes
Names and paths with right-to-left letters are shown in the right order inside sentences.

Ask is off until you turn it on, and needs an internet connection.
First release of DuoNavigator, a keyboard-first dual-pane file manager for macOS.
Improvements
Two panes with tabs, a sidebar with disks, standard folders, Favorites and Finder tags, and a clickable path bar in each pane.
Safe copy, move, rename and trash. When a name already exists you choose: Keep Both, Replace, Replace if Older, Replace if Different, Rename Existing, or merge folders. Replaced items go to the Trash.
Rename with a mask in the Copy/Move dialog (F5/F6): abc.* renames a.docx and a.pdf to abc.docx and abc.pdf.
Batch rename, Sync Folders and Find Files (with Spotlight), with presets you can run from the sidebar.
Folder sizes and a folder breakdown that shows what a folder’s space is made of.
Quick Look, a text viewer and editor, and ZIP archives.
Known issues
Tested on macOS 27 on Apple Silicon. The Intel version was tested only under Rosetta 2, not on Intel hardware or on macOS 14–26.
Tag and Spotlight searches only find files in places Spotlight indexes.
ZIP64 and encrypted ZIP archives are not supported.
